LESTER L. BRAUN, 72, of Percy, Illinois, passed away at 4:05 pm, Monday, November 28, 2011 at his residence. He was born to the late Sylvester and Bernice (nee Hammel) Braun on July 23, 1939 in Evansville, Illinois. He had been the Lead Man in Maintenance at Gilster Mary Lee in Steeleville, Illinois. Then he owned and operated the V.F.W. in Red Bud, Illinois for 3 years. He then went to work at Buchheit in Sparta, Illinois. He was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Steeleville, Illinois; Eagles Club Aerie #3252 in Chester, Illinois; American Legion Post #480 in Steeleville, Illinois and was a past member of the American Legion Post #1172 in Evansville, Illinois.
