LAVERNE “SIGGIE” KNOTT , 95, of Evansville, Illinois, passed away at 2:03 pm, Sunday, February 23, 2025, at R & R Country Care Senior Living, Ruma, Illinois.

She was born to the late Frank and Esther (nee Skidmore) Siegfried on December 8, 1929, in Evansville, Illinois.

LaVerne married James D. Knott on June 15, 1961, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Ruma, Illinois; he preceded her in death on December 17, 1995.

She was a homemaker.

LaVerne was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Evansville, Illinois, and St. Boniface Altar Sodality. She enjoyed playing a round of golf, going to bingo, and spending time with her sister and Barb while playing the machine. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her niece and nephews on the family farm.
